First visit & FAQ

Is it your first visit? Here’s what you need to know!

First of all, our cooperative offers a variety of climbing-related services. Our climbing gym, set up in a former church, is suitable for both adults and children! A café area is available on-site where you can relax between climbs and enjoy a drink or a snack. We also have a specialized shop and rental service for climbing and mountain equipment. Looking for adventure? Riki Bloc also offers outdoor outings and courses, in both summer and winter!

Bouldering

One of the great advantages of bouldering is that it doesn’t require any tests or certifications to practice. One of our staff members will simply explain the safety rules during your first visit. The walls are 4.5 metres high, and safety is ensured by thick mats designed specifically for this activity. This discipline is perfect for learning the movement and technique of climbing. It’s a sport that’s accessible to everyone—young or old, experienced or not!

Route climbing

This form of climbing with a rope allows you to climb up to 12 metres! You have two options to explore this activity:

  • With an auto-belay: the auto-belay device safely lowers you to the ground after a climb. A staff member will assist you (free of charge) to put on your harness and learn to use the auto-belay system safely. Once you’re comfortable with the instructions, you can use our 4 auto-belay devices on your own. This activity is available for individuals weighing between 12 kg and 140 kg.
  • With a rope: climbing with a rope requires solid knowledge of climbing safety. These skills are taught in a 3-hour course, followed by a certification exam to assess your abilities. Once certified, you’ll be able to access the rope walls on your own.

New challenges every visit!

Our climbing walls have various inclines that provide a mix of styles and difficulty levels. Climbing routes are regularly updated to offer new challenges every time you visit!

Perfect for families and beginners

Several climbing routes are specially set up for beginners and younger climbers to optimize their learning and experience. This way, parents and kids can climb together on our walls!

Risk acceptance

Before your first visit or activity with us, you’ll need to sign a risk acceptance form for each participant. Please note that for children under 14, the form must be signed by a legal guardian! Save time and do it from home by clicking this link.
